Back in 2010 we did a thing on Loveland Loves BBQ. It was huge with over 25 BBQ vendors and just as many other types of activities. This year was not so great. I know that there are a few BBQ places in Loveland, but they were not represented here. At least Nordy’s was at the one 4 years ago but not at this one. Famous Dave’s from Fort Collins was there, but none of the other five or six local joints showed up as in previous years.

OK, this is the standard kind of entertainment featured at Bob’s Country Bunker and its like, but what’s with the announcer acting all like “We be Loveland, We better than Fort Collins!” What kind of shit talk is that? Loveland have an inferiority complex much? Maybe if they had 25 vendors serving pork ribs instead of only three. That’s right, ONLY THREE PLACES TO GET RIBS! Maybe three other vendors serving pulled pork. Not the same! No way! It turns out they used to have a BBQ contest but the city decided it cost too much time and money. Too bad Loveland, you have some good BBQ joints in town, but you wouldn’t know it from this festival.
