Actually the idea of ‘Counter Intelligence’ had to do with putting smart appliances in a kitchen as part of a modern approach to a healthy lifestyle. That was 20 years ago. These days it’s called ‘The Internet of Things’ and it has evolved into too much information for me to absorb.

It had a stainless steel double sink with green ceramic tiles for the base and brown/green ceramic tiles for the back-splash. The green tiles were getting old and cracked and harder to clean. Time for something new…
The New Counter and back-splash
The counter top is now a HI-MACS® Acrylic Solid Surface made by LG Hausys, a company who says their surfaces are “designed and created with the idea that a counter top is more than a place where meals are prepared. It’s where life happens.” The sink is an under-mount acrylic solid and the faucet is a Moen one handle pullout that was very easy to install. The back-splash is a combo stone and glass mosaic tile, not as easy to install.
