Wow! This is our eighth music experiment. Time sure does fly! Here’s a memory from our first time!
It’s FALE, the African Drum and Dance group
Drumming in this town is everywhere. Our first introduction was the symphony for 1000 drums. Funny, I never attended a FALE class. Oh well, there’s still time.
So, it’s a band with a female singer/cello player who plays what they call “Dirty Funky Rock” with songs likeĀ “Nobody loves me ’til three in the morning” andĀ “Sweet statutory summer”. They were at the “R Bar”, a a new gay-friendly alternative bar in town.
And of course we had to see Musketeer Gripweed
Again. We couldn’t pass up seeing the Reverend Monkey Paw and his friends. It was a great show, even if it was at the Aggie Theater (sure, the new owners cleaned the floor, but how long will that last?)
