Duncan at the Beach

Monday, May 21st, 2018

Now that the path from FoCo to Loveland is complete, we can check out the Seven Lakes area by bike:

Duncan in his little cart

This is extra fun for Duncan because there is lots to smell and areas to pee. I’m sure the Loveland Park District imagined what it might be like without a Santa Monica Pier or fitness gurus lying about.

Ames

Wednesday, May 16th, 2018

Today we used the vinyl cutter as a plotter (just put an ink pen in the cutter holder and there you have it) to draw an Ames Trapezoid:

It’s an illusion

And it’s for the book fair featuring Temple Grandin on June 23. From some of her own projects when she was growing up.

Garden Bunny

Tuesday, May 15th, 2018

Seems that there are lots of bunnies around here:

This guy is one of six in our garden today

I think they have since moved on because of our recent planting activity. With any luck, they all moved under the deck where it would be safer. Lots of bunnies mean food for the local cats, domestic ones, cougars, Lynx, and Bob cats. Yes, they are out there! Duncan, be careful.

Violin Table, 1

Monday, May 14th, 2018

It’s a violin shaped planter table:

Top and bottom cut on a band saw (sure, could have used the laser cutter but…)

Clamped together. Some varnish and some legs and it will be done

This is an item I’m making for our book fair featuring Temple Grandin on June 23.

Rockies are Rocky

Thursday, May 10th, 2018

Celebrating from row 13 right behind home plate

Jim and Jeanne at Coors Field

We paid for these tickets at an auction and because at the time of the auction they didn’t know the actual date of the tickets we got a good deal (we think) but the Rockies lost this one. Boo!
